located in South Lake Tahoe, serving tea throughout the Lake Tahoe Basin

they say that tea wanted to be a part of the human experience. that she offered herself to the boiling cauldron of an ancient chinese emperor. and when he tasted that beautiful golden liquor and felt nourished and restored, he shared tea with his people as medicine. and so she has become a part of the human story. tea is the most widely shared beverage in the world, having become a quiet companion to humans, reminding us that we are of the earth and loved by the earth.

tea is a step into an ancient story of humans and the earth who loves them

tea ceremony is an invitation to experience the magic in the mundane, to meet a perfectly ordinary moment and let it become something sacred through our own presence and attention.

tea ceremony is a reminder that we belong to the earth, shaped by the same sun, cloud, and soil as the leaves we hold in our hands.

tea ceremony is a return to being, a remembering of what it feels like to simply exist as we are.

i’m kira and i love tea. tea changed my life in the best way possible and i want to share her with the world. i believe that tea meets us just where we are and gives us just what we need. i can't wait to see how she shows up for you.

i'm here to help
you find the magic in the mundane

Steph Jagger,
Coach and Author

"I’ve sat in ceremony with Kira on several occasions and have found each one to be transportive. They have moved me to a place of serenity that exists both inside of me and outside of me, and I have always walked away feeling emotionally re-membered and rewoven. I’m deeply grateful for the profound energy she helped me to experience by way of tea."

frequently asked QUESTIONS

what is a tea ceremony?

what is a tea ceremony?

tea ceremony is a moving meditation, a dance with presence, water and leaf as your guide. lasting anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes, we drink bowls of tea together in silence, allowing ourselves a shared and singular experience. rooted in the ancient chinese tradition of cha dao, or the way of tea, this ceremony is a quiet conversation through the passage of time, countless bowls poured and shared, passed hand to hand across thousands of years.

what can I expect from a tea ceremony?

what can I expect from a tea ceremony?

there is a saying in tea, “once the ceremony begins, everything is perfect.” there is nothing you need to bring, do or be. the ceremony itself is simple. we sit on the floor and drink bowl after bowl of tea in silence. the ceremony offers what it will and the tea meets you exactly where you are. every experience will be unique and it will be perfect for you. you are welcome just as you are.

what does a private tea ceremony look like?

what does a private tea ceremony look like?

a private tea ceremony looks like any other tea ceremony, with a special place, context, and group of humans. a ceremony is a wonderful way to transition away from the chaos of your normal life and into the special occasion you are here to honor, whether a birthday, an engagement, wedding, or anniversary, or a day simply worth remembering. you will find yourself softening into presence, deepening connection with those around you, and marking the moment in a way that lingers long after the last bowl is poured.

where are ceremonies held?

where are ceremonies held?

unfortunately, i do not have a permanent physical location to offer tea ceremony at this time. we will gather in shared or public spaces. I am most drawn to the beautiful nature spaces that make tahoe so special and my heart will always be happiest sharing tea under open skies, beside water, or among the trees.
for community teas, i am looking for a welcoming venue to host regular ceremonies. if you know of a local yoga studio, wellness space, local resort, or other peaceful location, please reach out. i will also occasionally offer small group ceremonies in some of my favorite local nature spots. join my email list to receive notifications.
for private tea ceremonies, we can work together to identify the perfect setting, whether a stunning outdoor location, a private airbnb or hotel, or a venue you have already secured for your special occasion.

what kind of tea do you serve?

what kind of tea do you serve?

i serve traditional chinese tea, camellia sinensis, sourced from farmers in china and taiwan who grow their tea with reverence. this includes red, black, white, peurh, and oolong teas. for each ceremony, i carefully select a tea that suits the occasion, weather, and energy of the gathering.
